Item Description
Do you have a talent for music and like working with people? Did you know that employment growth for music teachers is estimated to be 17% between 2010 and 2020?
See what it's like to be a Music Teacher with Alexandra Anlas, owner of Alex's Music Studio in Roscoe Village! Music teachers must also be skilled in working with students of different levels in age, experience, and talent. Patience, empathy, a positive outlook, and a sense of humor are also strengths for anyone pursuing a career in teaching music.
Your Shadow Day will be from 11:00am - 6:00pm on a Monday that is mutually agreeable (Saturday hours are also available if preferred). You'll get a tour of the store and the opportunity to sit in on private lessons and maybe even teach a little after observing! To get a real feel for what it's like to own your own business, you'll also assist with business emails, preparing for lessons and other typical daily duties.
Job shadowing is an effective and efficient way for a high school junior or senior to gather information when choosing colleges, college programs, and majors!
Item Special Note
Business professional attire.
