Item Description

2009 Chàteau Haut Sociondo Bordeaux
Blaye seems to be a forgotten corner of Bordeaux, stuck out on the wrong side of the Gironde estuary across from the Médoc. But its wines are great values, as typified by Haut-Sociondo; not powerful, but always elegant. It’s an approachable wine with a rustic and mineraltistic tilt to it while still relatively young.  Because of the backbone and structure in this wine, it’s just as drinkable, if not more drinkable 5-10 years down the road.

2012 Alain Geoffroy Chablis
This delicious white wine comes from Beauroy, a Premier Cru-classified climate of Chablis, located in a valley on the western side of the Serein river in France. Several important critics have rated this Chablis Beauroy wine highly: Gilbert & Gaillard gave the 2007 vintage a score of 90.

2011 Gerard Bertrand Languedoc Syrah/Grenache
This red blend from France’s (Southern) Languedoc region.  It is a blend of Syrah and Grenache, two varietals that both thrive in the southern parts of France.  It is medium to full in body with vibrant red and dark fruit flavor, a little plum, leather, a touch of sweetness, and some white pepper, leading into a sticky, dry finish.
