Item Description
SDI3819 - "The Fallen" - 20x24" stretched canvas: this shot was taken at B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, California in late November 2014. I found this wine barrel propped against an olive tree and noticed the collection of olives and leaves that had fallen onto it. After several failed attempts at framing this as a long shot, I moved in closely and captured this photo - I really like the detail of the wood grain in the barrel, the textures & colors of the fallen olives and the short depth of field in this image. The cooper's (barrel-maker's) logo is the finishing touch.
