Item Description
Daroji is a sloth bear sanctuary in southern India. It is spread over 55.87 square km and was exclusively created for the preservation of Indian Sloth bears. Samad Kottur, one of the authors of the book, has worked with Wildlife SOS for many years and is very committed to the conservation of sloth bears and their habitat.
"Perhaps the very least a knowledgeable mind can do for the next generation is to leave a record of life and the geological marvels that enrich our surroundings and make our life so much better. In this context, this book stretches beyond the frame of a coffee table book."
- Krupakar- Senani (Green Oscar Award winning Indian Wildlife Film Makers)
"This work is by some of the country's best nature photographers and experts in forest management and conservation. By using the Sloth Bear as the flagship species to shoulder the narrative, this book takes one on a wonderful journey through the north Karnataka region, with amazing facts and useful information." - Kalyan Varma (Award winning Wildlife Photographer and NGC- BBC filmmaker)
