Item Description
Learn the fundamentals of glass blowing and create your very own blown glass art with this Personal Glass Experience at the Morean Arts Center!
A visit to the Glass Studio & Hot Shop is an opportunity to get behind the scenes and observe resident glass artists creating unique works of art. From gathering the molten glass from the furnace, to working it on the pontil pipe and glory hole, to its final cool down process in the annealing kiln, you will have a new appreciation for this art form that is centuries old.
The Personal Glass Experience is designed with the novice in mind. This unique one-on-one opportunity in our Hot Shop gives you the chance to work with one of our demonstration artists to learn the fundamentals of glass blowing.
One of the Morean's demo team instructors will guide you through all the necessary steps to make your own hand blown glass ornament or paperweight in an experience lasting up to 30 minutes.
