Item Description
The New Brunswick Jazz Project produces live, “straight ahead,” world-class jazz performances at a variety of central Jersey restaurants and venues. Founded in 2010 by Michael Tublin, Virginia DeBerry and James Lenihan, NBJP has held over 1000 events featuring hundreds of accomplished, talented, veteran and gifted emerging artists from New Jersey and New York, including the legendary bandleader and pianist Arturo O’Farrill, Jersey jazz giant, Radam Schwartz, U.S. State Department International “Jazz Ambassador,” Virginia Mayhew and Rutgers’ own Ralph Bowen, Conrad Herwig and Chris Brown
The successful bidder will win a jazz quartet, which will include horn, bass, keyboard and drums, to play at their home, office or other event location within 10 miles of New Brunswick, for up to three hours. The exact musicians who will be part of the ensemble will be determined based on availability on the date selected by the bidder, but all will be professional musicians who regularly play for the New Brunswick Jazz Project.
