Item Description
Spend all day hiking beautiful Tule Elk Reserve with expert guide Kurt Gantert, Wanderers Camp Founder & Director. After meeting in the morning in San Francisco, the group will head over the Golden Gate Bridge to one of the most spectacular National Parks in the country: Point Reyes National Seashore. After a stop for a local, organic lunch in the quaint village of Point Reyes Station, everyone will hike the Tomales Point trail, a beautiful hike that includes views of Tomales Bay to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Beautiful photo ops of wildlife and scenery abound. Tomales Point is also a sanctuary for the endangered tule elk, and there will be opportunities stop to observe the elk in their natural habitat and possibly opportunities to spot other wildlife including bobcat, coyote, andmany species of raptors like osprey, red tailed hawks, turkey vultures, and various falcons. Transportation and snacks will be included; lunch will not be included. This will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
