Why Quinebarge

Our Mission: Quinebarge inspires campers to challenge themselves and to try new activities in a safe and supportive setting with staff helping each child grow, learn and achieve their goals. Whether it’s learning to ride a horse or inventing a camp game, we foster a spirit of community. A respect for nature is embedded into our rich tradition of camp life that includes outdoor activities, campfires, songs, skits and cabin living.

Camp Quinebarge is run by parents of existing campers and we seek the best homegrown and international staff and counselors to make summer at Quinebarge truly special. Many of our counselors have attended Quinebarge for years and each summer, come back to share with old and new campers the traditions and fun of Quinebarge. We have an extensive staff training program before and throughout camp to ensure the physical and mental well-being of every child.

Testimonials: “My family has got a new son back after his first two weeks at Camp. He was more appreciative and mature, gentler on the inside, tougher on the outside, more compassionate, more fun loving and risk taking. I didn't know it was possible. His first letter from camp was about the sweetest thing he’s ever done. I love the drive up to the Lakes. Thank you Camp Q. “ - Yiqi from Newton, MA

"My 10 year old son loved Quinebarge and can't wait to go back for longer. It was his first time at sleepaway camp and he was terrified, so for the first several days I was in daily touch with the camp director to check up on him, and she was incredibly helpful. I thought my son would miss his electronics desperately, and instead, he loved being outside and hiking (which he never wants to do at home). He made friends with campers of all different ages... even girls! And he fell in love with the horses! I am so glad he had this opportunity to be in the natural world and connect with other people and animals, to follow his own passions and try new things in a relaxed environment.  Thanks, Quinebarge." Alison from Lexington, MA
