Item Description
Hailing from Minnesote, Artist Brian Farrell currently produces in Freehold, NJ. High contrast color schemes and bold line quality admit hints of pop and street art yet the aesthetic focus moves beyond the purely figurative and into the abstract. The utilization of false symmetries and illusions of the patterned-order in his most recent work allude to a fascination with the true chaos of a natural world all too often cloaked in false uniformity; this mongrel aesthetic of both urban and organic influence have come together to create an impressively unique collection of nature studies.
A uniform forest does not exist; it is the uniqueness of each piece which makes up the whole. As I pass these to you I hope to continue nature's cycle of creation. These hand-painted trees of pine and douglas encourage one to create their own forest, which is both a part of and different from mine.
