A reading assessment plus written report and two reading lessons at ARC. The Active Reading Center is the premier resource for struggling readers in the Bay Area. They are physician recommended and have been opening the doors to literacy success since 1991. ARC works with students of all ages and abilities. Their methods are particularly powerful for non-traditional learners who do not learn easily in the traditional classroom environment where sitting still, listening, repeating and filling in the blanks are the norm. They also work with students diagnosed with a variety of learning disabilities such as dyslexia, LD, ADD, ADHD, auditory and other processing issues. These students are not necessarily learning disabled; they simply learn differently.
