Item Description
Time to get to work for the City of Menlo Park! One child, third grade or higher, will get a behind the scenes look at the vital role the public works department plays for the City of Menlo Park. The highest bidder will join Jesse Quirion, the department's director, for a half day of on-the-job duties and lunch. There's so much to learn! The city department's divisions include engineering, environmental programs, maintenance, and transportation. The department is responsible for construction, repair, and maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, trees, buildings, and much more. It also provides private developments with oversight engineering review to ensure that these projects are constructed according to city specifications. If your child has an interest in engineering, environmental issues, government, or just wants to better understand oversight of the city in which we live, work, and play, this will be a memorable and educational experience! HIGHEST BIDDER WINS.
