Item Description
San Francisco's Mission District is where the traditional and often lusty Latino and South American flavors are a part of a changing community of various backgrounds and cultures. This Edible Excursions tour includes a mouth-watering assortment of tastings and samples, both savory and sweet. It's a world of tacos and mini cupcakes, salsa (the sauce, not the dance), freshly made ice cream, and savory pies. Two guests will enjoy learning the stories of Mission culinary artists and shopkeepers, with insights into the area's history and beautiful, world famous murals. Along the way, participants will get to taste some of the following local artisan edibles: Mission Minis, home of the cinnamon horchata cupcake; Wise Sons Deli serves up house-cured pastrami; Humphry Slocombe's award winning (and one of a kind) ice cream such as Secret Breakfast, Boccalone Prosciutto, and Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee; Mexican delicacies from El Farolito (taco) and La Palma Foods (famous chips and fresh salsa); and seasonally-stuffed tamales from the 90+ year-old Roosevelt Tamale Parlor. Held on a Satuday of your choosing from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The lucky winner must coordinate with Edible Excursions in advance of your date. Learn more at edibleexcusions.net. HIGHEST BIDDER WINS.
