Captain Robert T. Mayer is a third generation charter captain with a lifetime of experience fishing the inshore waters of Georgetown, SC. From the early days of fishing with his grandfather, Captain Sammy Crayton, Captain Robert developed a passion for his craft and for the pristine waters of the area. Our fishing grounds include over 50 miles of undeveloped coastline surrounded by 85,000 acres of federally protected wildlife and waterfowl habitat. A Top Knotch charter gives the option of fishing North Inlet, Winyah Bay, the Santee Delta and Cape Romain - all easily accessible from the intercoastal waterway between Georgetown and McClellanville. Nowhere on the east coast can you find so much water with so little development. With the expanse of creeks, bays and inlets within reach of our home port, you could literally fish for days and not cover the same area twice. Inshore fishing with Top Knotch Fishing Charters is never out of season. Trout, red fish and flounder fishing in our area is a year round pursuit. While navigating the calm, inshore waters of this unique setting, you can expect to encounter a diversity of wildlife. Along the banks of these remote areas you are likely to see bald eagles, osprey, ducks, dolphin, alligators, deer, and wild boar, just to name a few.
