Item Description
The fifth grade class, inspired by their immigrant study, divided up a large photograph of the interior of Ellis Island. Each member of the class recreated that square in a small painting. All of the squares were put back together to make one collaborative painting. Collaged on top of the painting are cut out photographs of immigrants as they came through Ellis Island. The children's faces are super imposed in place of the immigrant's faces. A gorgeous collaboration and a true commemorative keepsake honoring this class's journey through PS 150!
