Item Description
The third grade class is studying ancient Egypt this year, and this class gift shares the students artistic views about this exciting subject. Each student created several drawings inspired by ancient Egypt. They then transferred their drawings to fine art panels and drew over them in glue to make their pictures three-dimensional. Images were then gold-leafed, using 23 karat gold, as small panels, a process that was invented in ancient Egypt. The panels have been artistically arranged into a final bas-relief wall hanging and are a beautiful way to commemorate your childs learning. Thank you to Kay Young for coordinating this gift. There are two third grade class gifts: one created by Jennys class and one created by Katies class.
