Item Description
You are bidding on Six (6) tickets to the Story Pirates Mainstage Show AND Two (2) Tickets to the Story Pirates (grown-ups only) AfterDark.
Get ready to be swept away by Pirates. As the Park Slope Reader puts it, "The Story Pirates won't gie you scurvy or make you walk the plank; however, they will challenge your child's imagination and prove that his or her words are powerful tools that are worth celebrating"
Whenever the Pirates take the stage, we are armed with furry monsters, Viking costumes, flying cats, and sacks of treasure for an experience that shows kids the power of writing in a way they'll never forget! While many children’s theater troupes tell stories to kids, the Story Pirates believe that every child has a story to tell. Whether it's a world where cats can fly or a rock opera about fuzzy alien tickle monsters, this sketch comedy musical is based entirely on stories by elementary schoolers! Described as "Monty Python meets Schoolhouse Rock," the show is pitched perfectly to grown ups and kids alike.
About AFTER DARK:
Everything the Story Pirates perform is based on a story written by an elementary school student—from the shame of chronic bedwetting to the tender love between the devil and some guy she met at Starbucks—but once a month, the Story Pirates put on a show just for grown ups. The material is pulled right from their school tour, but there are no kids allowed.
With music, puppets, and a hilarious glimpse of the world through the minds of kids, this is the only sketch show in town where you might see a David Bowie-style tribute to a good Hebrew School education. Based in New York and Los Angeles, the Story Pirates have blown the minds of over 500,000 second graders. You're next.
