Item Description
Visual “illusions” in fact reveal to us the strange ways our minds and brains actually work. In this seminar we will experience and analyze numerous visual illusions that show how the body, mind and brain interact to take a messy world and create the appearance of seamless, ordered visual perception. Participants will appreciate that what we think we see derives from the interactions of the body (e.g. the retina), the mind (e.g. socialization), and the brain (e.g. neural inhibition in the visual cortex). Age: 8+. This is for a group of up to 6, any combination of kids and adults.
