5 days - for 12 weeks - of after school program at Lacasa, an enrichment immersion program from 3 to 5 pmm for K to 5th grade or the flexible enrichment option. The activities go from soccer, chess, cooking to percussion, fitness, move to improve. And on Fridays hip hop, yoga, taekwondo, art, fashion design!

Founded in 1993, LACASA Youth Program, a project of Strycker’s Bay Neighborhood Council, has been built on the philosophy that children, when given the opportunity to grow within a safe and nurturing environment, will be able to thrive academically, emotionally and socially. In alignment with this philosophy, LACASA has designed its program to incorporate project- based learning across the subject areas of reading, math, writing, dance, fitness, theatre and visual arts in kindergarten through freshman year in college. In exposing students to a variety of different activities and disciplines, LACASA advocates and provides opportunities for creative exploration and self-expression so that each of its participants can reach their full academic and personal potential.
Services include after school and summer day camp programs for elementary school students; after school programming for middle school children; tutoring for elementary, middle and high school students; internships and employment opportunities for high school youth; college readiness assistance; and volunteer opportunities through which older students can help support the growth of younger ones while building their own skills. We also provide an array of family support and related services to promote higher learning and family sustainability.
