Hand Blown Glass Vessels Incorporating Student Made Tile Vignettes
The Infrared Room has joined forces with Andy Magdanz of Almost Perfect Glass, Dan Maher of Dan Maher Stained Glass, along with Jesse Rasid and his staff at UpperCut Glass and the NOCA Glass School to create beautiful hand blown glass vessels. These pieces were done in a series of sessions over a 3 month period and the finished products are astonishing. Each student used a combination of stained glass and flat glass cutting techniques to create 3” x 3” glass tile vignettes of their own design. Three vignettes were fused and then, using traditional Italian techniques, the fused vignettes were incorporated into hand blown glass vessels.
These glass vessels are showcase pieces and will be admired for years to come.
