Prepare your tastebuds for this five-course dinner for six (6) at Café Bien with Chef Ernesto Duran! Chef Ernesto, Albuquerque’s up and coming chef, was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM. His love of preparing food began at a young age, while he observed and often helped his mother in the kitchen.
Always one to enrich his cuisine and talent as a chef, Ernesto attended CNM with a focus in Culinary Arts in 2011. His tenacity, reputation and creativity in the kitchen has brought forth many accomplishments, which includes a record of 3-2 in Albuquerque’s Chef Knockout Competition, a Hot Plate Award – Best Sopaipilla from Albuquerque the Magazine, and an original recipe to be featured in the delicious New Mexico cookbook written by by author Dave Dewitt.
Ernesto has also had the esteemed pleasure of cooking for various celebrities, governors, and the past two presidents of the United States.
A connoisseur of Modern American cuisine, Ernesto explores classic flavor combinations and prepares dishes with a unique twist. Cooking, according to Ernesto, is not just about the food — it is about the experience.
