Watercolor blue soup tureen and ladle, thrown by Paul Zoldahn and decorated by Gail Rosenquist.

Item Special Note

Gail and Paul began offering collaborative pieces for the Empty Bowl online auction in 2011 and Paul has been contributing significantly since 2004. Paul, a professional potter since 1973, teaches advanced ceramics at the Duluth Art Institute, and in September will be teaching a once-fire workshop at the Grand Marais Art Colony. Gail recently taught a series of ceramics classes for Choice, unlimited. She has been working in clay for nearly 11 years and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. The couple works from their home studio, and also rents studio space at the Duluth Art Institute. Their work can be found in Duluth at Park Point Art Fair, Art in Bayfront Park, and other venues throughout Minnesota. They also participate in the Second Saturday Ceramics Holiday Sale at the DAI Lincoln Center. Paul is represented at Siiviis Gallery in Canal Park Duluth.
