Born in Riga, Latvia, Olga Romanova is an aspiring artist and graphic designer double-majoring in Fine Arts and Advertising from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After the graduation in December 2015 she will continue living and working in Dallas, TX.

“Mas Que Cara” uses images of modern world idols to express personality traits of her own. The piece is comprised of 8 terracotta masks arranged in the shape of a square. Using the masks to represent the artist's character, unique sets of associations within the viewer are created. Olga believes that her masks are akin to ancient totems, which have power to create conduit for an emotional connection between the artist and the viewer.
