Item Description
Susan’s work is based on the Faber/Mazlish books “How To Talk So Kids Will Listen, Listen So Kids Will Talk” as well as her years of hands on experience as the Assistant to the Director at First Presbyterian Church Nursery School. Amongst her many responsibilities at FPCNS Susan facilitated Parenting Workshops as the School’s Parent Educator. Susan Nason also offers workshops and/or private counseling and at many NYC private and public schools.
Susan approaches parenting as a spiritual practice, a practice of compassion, gratitude, self-reflection and connection. She appreciates that as we parent our children we also “re-parent” ourselves and can come to an understanding of how our upbringing impacts each of us, and its impact on our own parenting style. Through this dynamic she teaches effective parenting skills to help parents of children of all ages.
During this session you will explore different parenting skills and techniques that will help you bring new awareness and harmony to your parent/child relationship.
