Item Description
Remodeled vintage 1930 Forest Service Cabin on South Fork American River located in Twin Bridges off Highway 50 before South Lake Tahoe. Amazing family vacation opportunity to go hiking, backpacking, lake fishing, and climbing. Cabin sleeps eight plus two kids in the loft (four beds plus tandem twin loft). There are 27 summer home tracts on Forest Service lands between Whitehall and Echo Summit. These tracts date to the 1920's and were built under permit until the late 1940's. Initially, the recreation residences allowed the permittee's families to come up to the mountains to spend the summer months, although now they are often used for shorter periods of time throughout the year. This a rare chance to stay in a Forest Service Cabin as the Forest Service doesn't typically allow the cabins to be rented out!
Item Special Note
Good for three nights between June-August, 2015. $300 refundable deposit required. $75 Cleaning fee not included.
