Item Description
Receive a cello lesson and demonstration with Suzanne Saba Hughes at your home. You may use Suzanne's adult-sized cellar or a 1/8 size cello (appropriate for a 5 or 6 year old) for the one hour lesson. Then enjoy a demonstration/performance by Suzanne for the whole family for an additional 30 minutes.
Suzanne Saba Hughes performs as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She currently has a private studio in New York City, is on the cello faculties of Alexander Robertson School and the Elizabethtown College Music Camp. She has been a Midori & Friends teaching artist, a member of the cello faculty at The Spence School, a cello coach for The InterSchool Orchestras of New York, and a judge for the NYSSMA Solo Festivals and New York Music Competition. Suzanne received a Master of Arts in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she was a music studies scholarship recipient. As a private teacher, Suzanne enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities, and aims to foster respect for each student’s musicality and to nurture his or her natural curiosity of music. She incorporates several teaching methods to best serve each student.
