Item Description
Enjoy extraordinary art and architecture as well as spectacular gardens with a Family Pass to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens!
Vizcaya, located on beautiful Biscayne Bay in Miami, was the winter residence of American industrialist James Deering. The house, constructed to appear to be an Italian estate that had stood for 400 years, has 34 rooms decorated with 15th- through 19th-century antique furnishings and art. The house appears to be only two stories high, but there is an intervening level with 12 rooms for servants and service between the main public rooms and the bedrooms.
The expansive gardens combine elements of Renaissance Italian and French designs. Key features include many fountains, a central pool surrounding an elevated island, the elevated Mound with its small house, or “Casino,” statuary and several themed gardens.
Vizcaya was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.
