The Legion of Honor displays a collection of 4,000 years of ancient and European art in an exquisite Beaux-Arts building in an unforgettable setting overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. The Legion, San Francisco's most beautiful public museum, is located in Lincoln Park at 100 34th Avenue (at Clement Street).
The de Young Museum, a favorite of San Francisco residents and visitors since 1895, is located at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive in the heart of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
* Both museums are open year-round from Tuesday through Sunday between 9:30 am and 5:15 pm. From early spring to late fall, the de Young is open unil 8:45 pm on Friday evenings.
