As teenage Jasper faces gods and monsters in search of his best friend (and true love) Agnes, he learns to let go of the demons of daily life and embrace the music within. With a pulsating contemporary score and vibrant roots in ancient Greek, Egyptian, Roman, and Norse legends and fables, this spine-tingling, hair-raising, heart-stirring show explores what it means to be truly alive.
The 5th Avenue Theatre is a landmark theater building located in Seattle, Washington. It has hosted a variety of theatre productions and motion pictures since it opened in 1926.The 5th Avenue Theatre is one of the nation's premier incubators for new musical theater. Since 2001, The 5th has premiered 16 new works, nine of which have subsequently opened on Broadway. They include Disney’s Aladdin; First Date; A Christmas Story, The Musical; Scandalous; Shrek; Catch Me If You Can; The Wedding Singer; and Best Musical Tony Award-winners, Hairspray and Memphis. The 5th Avenue Theatre is also known for its world class, critically-acclaimed productions of musicals chosen from both the contemporary canon and the Golden Age of Broadway, as well as the latest touring offerings from New York. The theatre, located at 1308 Fifth Avenue in the historic Skinner Building, has been listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places since 1978.
