Item Description

Enjoy an outing to the opera with this gift certificate for two tickets to La boheme!

With Paris of the 1830s as the backdrop, love flourishes, withers and dies in this melodious and heart-wrenching masterpiece. Featuring Puccini’s most beautiful melodies, this is also the perfect first opera for newcomers.

Tickets may be used for one of the following performances during the Fall 2015 season:

  • Friday, October 30, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

Sarasota Opera, now in its 55th season, has been under the artistic leadership of Maestro Victor DeRenzi since 1983. Maestro DeRenzi's artistic vision has garnered the company international attention as a place to experience rarely performed operatic works.

Sarasota Opera owns and performs in the historic Sarasota Opera House, which recently underwent a $20 million dollar historic renovation and restoration. The project was designed to restore the historic 1926 theater to its original glory, while creating a venue for opera for the 21st century. The Sarasota Opera House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
