Item Description
You are bidding on a New & Adventurous package from Roulette: Includes Two (2) Event Tickets , Mumbo Jumbo (2 Disc Set), and red tote bag with their signature logo.
Located on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, NY since 2011, Roulette (over 30 years old) now occupies a 400-seat theater with superb acoustics and is gloriously equipped. Now each season it presents over 150 music, dance and Intermedia performances, hosts fifty arts and community organizations such as the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and the Brooklyn Philharmonic, and welcoms an audience of over 50,000. In an astonishingly short time Roulette has become an epicenter for our Brooklyn neighborhood, and for the arts organizations of New York City.
About Mumbo Jumbo (2 DISC SET) Staley, Frith, Zorn, Mori, Frisell, Hirsch, Sharp, Horvitz, Bennett:
Originally released as a double length LP on Rift Records in 1986, this seminal recording of downtown legends Jim Staley, Fred Frith, John Zorn, Ikue Mori, Bill Frisell, Shelley Hirsch, Elliott Sharp, Wayne Horvitz, and Samm Bennett is finally available in its entirety on this digitally remastered double-disc edition. Jim Staley & Co. conjure up "...prime...NYC art damage, all trios, with Staley's expressive trombone as the common denominator", (Bill Tilland, Option Magazine). The result of a philosophy that wishes to extend the development of intuition from the matter of spontaneous musical decisions to the initial choice of the musicians themselves, Mumbo Jumbo explores the nature of improvisation.
