Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology is among the oldest archaeological museums in the world. This museum's displays include towering Native American totem poles, and large Maya murals and sculptures.

Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments contains over 20,000 objects dating from about 1400 to the present. A broad range of scientific disciplines are represented, including astronomy, navigation, horology, surveying, geology, calculating, physics, biology, medicine, psychology, electricity, and communication. 

Harvard Semitic Museum explores the rich history of cultures connected by the family of Semitic languages. This museum is home to the University’s collection of over 40,000 Near Eastern artifacts including pottery, cylinder seals, stele, sarcophagi, and cuneiform tablets.
