Creative Outlet celebrates 20 years of artistic excellence with a retrospective of their most acclaimed work. Director and founder, Jamel Gaines, has spent a lifetime cultivating students into dynamic artists who perform on stages around the world. Joining the program is his family of artists who represent some of the most lauded dancers of this generation. The performance includes five dance works with music by Roberta Flack, an all male quartet, and movement inspired by the natural elements of Hurricane Katrina. Each performance begins with a special showing by current Creative Outlet students taking the stage.

 Two (2) Tickets to Irondale's production of Brecht's Saint Joan of Stockyards

Acclaimed German director, Peter Kleinert directs the Irondale ensemble in a production of Bert Brecht’s master-work Saint Joan of the Stockyards. A darkly comic tale of romance between a meatpacking tycoon and a Salvation Army worker set amidst the milieu of unemployed workers, high-rolling millionaires, and corporate greed. “I want Irondale’s “St. Joan” to come right out of Brooklyn”, says director Peter Kleinert. Originally set in 1920’s Chicago, Brecht’s drama focuses the driving issues of the pursuit of justice in a system driven by profit, and the individual in a fight for what is good and against society. Performed at Irondale for the first time since 1993, the ensemble presents this gripping drama laced with humor and songs.
