Item Description

You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind Ojo de Dios/God's Eye #1 collaborative art piece crafted by the 2nd class, mounted in a grouping and placed in a shadow box with a black felt background.

Using traditional methods, each 2nd Grade student has woven an Ojo de Dios, or God's Eye from hand-dyed yarn and gathered sticks. WSP 2nd Grade students harvested the dye plants and school grown willow sticks for the project, and Grade 3 students dyed the wool.

Individual students who crafted the God’s Eyes can be identified by student initials: ECW, MC, KM, NAB, RW, PP, IM, MT, SF, ED, GN and NM.

Ojo de Dios are made by many indigenous people of the Americas, often given in celebration or as a gift to bless a home.

Frame size: 17"x21"
