Item Description
You are bidding on a one-of-a-kind Ojo de Dios/God's Eye collection crafted by half of the 2nd Grade class beautifully displayed in a shadow box.
Using traditional methods, each Grade 2 student has woven an Ojo de Dios, or God's Eye, from hand dyed yarn and gathered sticks. WSP Grade 2 students have harvested the dye plants and school grown willow sticks for the project, and Grade 3 students dyed the wool.
Individual student work can be identified by student initials on a diagram on the back of each shadow box. (student initials: SS, AM, CB; FP, IM, LCA; BCT, EP, SN; GJW, LC, and FM)
Ojo de Dios are made by many indigenous people of the Americas, often given in celebration or as a gift to bless a home.
