Item Description
Take home am 11x17 print of this gorgeous creation inspired by the class gift in the live auction! This year’s fourth grade piece is made from the meeting of fire and sand, forged together at San Francisco's Public Glass. To memorialize the students’ study of Ancient Greece, this fused glass piece depicts the Acropolis as it looked at the height of its glory. Using various techniques learned at Public Glass, each student created a tile depicting a portion of the image. The tiles were then melded together to build this wonderful wall decoration. Together they made a vision of beauty and knowledge — a wonderful creation to remember this very special fourth grade year. Thank you to Mark Applebaum, Katrien Burlinson, Catherine Clune, Tammy Crown, Lucy de Anda, Margo Dhaliwal, Joan Friedman, Julie Kao, Trip Hawkins, Lisa Hawkins, and Mitch Pergola for their support and help in coordinating this gift.
