Features of the center include:

Three types of kilns
16 electric wheels
Glaze room
Damp room
Hand building area
Flexible studio hours
A Laguna Pulley Raku kiln
A 33 square foot Alpine updraft gas kiln
Students will work with a variety of clays and glazes, and invariably kiln temperatures, in the study of pottery as an art form. Not to mention that students will be exposed to both wheel throwing and hand building techniques. Clayton Keyes, Ceramics Professor, is dedicated to his students understanding the different processes associated with pottery. Clayton teaches many different firing techniques, such as high, reduction, low, or raku firings. As well as, he exposes his students to the endless creative processes behind those firings with glazework and other techniques.
