Item Description

Alan Bourgalt's hand-made, solid wood cutting boards are both functional and works of art.  Each cutting board is crafted from hand selected curly maple, bird's-eye maple, or cherry wood, then shaped by hand for an elegant shape and balance. Careful hand sanding and buffing with fine steel wool produce a satiny smooth surface that is silky to the touch.

Designed to provide many years of use in the kitchen, this cutting board is finished with a durable, heat treated walnut oil/wax finish. The board's beauty can easily be restored over time with gentle sanding and a new coat of finish.

Item Special Note

The winning bidder will be responsible for shipping and handling costs, in addition to the purchase price. Alternatively, the winner may arrange in advance to pick up the item at The Discovery Museums office (Monday – Friday, between 8:30 and 4:30).
