Item Description
The Brandywine River Museum, in Chadds Ford, PA, is home to one of the largest and most comprehenive collections of works by N.C., Andrew and Jamie Wyeth, three generations of artists who embody the family's distinctive artistic legacy. Many familiar works, and many rarely on public view, are seen in regularly changing exhibitions.
The Museum combines the charm of the old with the exctiement of the new, the beauty of art with the grandeur of nature. Galleries boast the old original beams, while lobbies with walls of glass provide expansive views of the river and the hills beyond. Inside, celebrated art captures the eye. Outdoors, wildflower gardens -- featuring plants native to the Brandywine Valley -- surround the museum in glorious color from spring through autumn.
