Item Description
One lucky child will have the opportunity to be the city's top crime fighter for the day! He/she will be picked up from a home in Petaluma in a police car and taken to the Petaluma Police Dept for an important meeting with Chief of Police Patrick Williams. After being fitted with appropriate police attire, the student will take charge while posing for a photo at the Chief's desk. Next, they'll take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Police Dept. and join the shift sergeant during his briefing with officers. Then it's on to the 911 Dispatch Room to help the dispatch team work with officers around the city.
At lunch time, the Chief will escort your child to one of Petaluma's fine dining establishments where they will chat about police work, school or sports (Chief Williams is a big sports fan!). Upon returning to police headquarters, a special member of Petaluma's K9 unit (Jimmy or Basko) and his human partner will arrive and demonstrate their unique crime-fighting skills and pose for pictures as well.
Finally, your child will tour the Mobile Command Unit and end the day with a photo behind bars. Who knows? Perhaps your student can talk the Chief into "going to jail" too!
