Item Description

2008 Nickel and Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon Quarry Vineyard, Robert Parker review (Dec 2011): Rating- 94. The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Quarry Vineyard reveals gorgeous depth in an understated, cool style. The Quarry is all about delineation and subtlety, both of which it has in spades. Mint, violet and cassis are some of the nuances that come to life in the glass as this elegant, finessed wine shows off its class and pedigree. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2028.

2008 Far Niente Chardonnay, Wine Spectator review: Rating- 89. Wine Spectator - "Crisp, flinty and tightly wound. A sour lemon, pineapple and leesy-citrusy edge gives this a fresh, vibrant mouthfeel, ending with a sour green apple flavor that's clean and refreshing. Drink now through 2014. 19,900 cases made."

2008 Ancien Chardonnay Hayes Vineyard. Tasting Notes from Ancien. Tasting Notes: The nose begins with a subtle strand of straw, honey, and a softened whiff of cedar. The nose opens further to a rich melange of spicy melon, figs, dates, and meringue. The palate is immediately bright and fresh, and the mouth-feel is significant and rich, expansive and increasing in intensity. Crisp apple and ripe pear notes emerge from the full-bodied mid-palate, touched with tangerine and orange blossom. The finish is a lengthy and powerful amalgamation of ripe fruit, baking and holiday spices and mouth-filling minerality with a soft, tannic grip. The nose continues to evolve, revealing nuances throughout the finish. This is a Chardonnay worthy of cellaring.

2008 Nickel & Nickel Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, International Wine Cellar Review. Rating- 93: "Bright ruby. Vibrant aromas of blueberry, licorice and graphite lifted by a violet element. Suave, lush and sweet, with pliant flavors of plum, currant and mocha. At once deep and accessible, and sweeter than the 2007 bottling from this vineyard. Finishes ripe and very long. Has the balance to enjoy now or cellar for a decade or more. "

2008 Las Bonitas Chardonnay

2008 Nickel & Nickel Regusci Vineyard Cabernet Sauviginon Stag's Leap Distrist, Block 4. Tasting Notes: This wine offers forward notes of raspberry and cherry that are typical of the southern slopes of the Stags Leap District. Sweet and supple red fruits are complemented by the vanillin from the oak. The silky entry enhances the wine’s elegant texture as it moves to a very long finish.
