"Cats in Windows, Cats on the Street" is an incredibly detailed scene of a street over-run by cats, created by the artist Annette Monnier. An archival pen and ink drawing on paper. 2' 6" x 2", professionally framed.
Annette Monnier is an arts administrator and art writer currently serving as Executive Director of the University City Arts League and writing independently for ArtNEWS. An artist who was a founding curatorial member of alternative art spaces; Black Floor, Copy and PRACTICE galleries, and who formally trained at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, OH, Annette still finds time to create drawings at the rate of about three per year. Her work is strictly black and white pen and ink drawing, is fun and fantastical, draws upon an illustrative tradition, is often based in Philadelphia, and is loosely narrative in nature.
