About Emily ARTISTIC LEANINGS, CREATIVE BEGINNINGS I received my first camera at age 10 a Fisher Price 110 I lugged all over the place pointing it at my friends, the family goats, and the captivating houses in my southern Maine hometown. Ive always been artistic: I loved to draw, and also did lots of painting, clay work, collaging, and beadwork. Then at 17 I took my first photography class, and I knew Id found my calling. I also had dreams of being a pediatrician and became a biology major in college, but my creative side won over. When I broke the news to my parents that I was switching from pre-med to photography, they didnt bat an eye they knew I needed to follow my heart (and that my knack for kids would come in very handy).
