Philosophy-unlike most gyms in Santa Barbara, The Training Room is not machine-based training but movement-based. Movement-based training is what they call functional training. Functional training is exercising in a manner that is similar to what we do in real life. Functional training ensures maximal results and minimizes injury. If your goal is weight loss, sports performance, alleviating muscle and joint pain, preventing injury or general fitness, the functional training programs at The Training Room are for you.
