Item Description
Looking for a fabulous signature piece for your home? Bid on this Chinese cabinet from the early 1700s, during the Qing Dynasty. It has been finished in red lacquer with delicate gilded painting depicting birds and blossoms. Both the overall color and the detailing have been subdued with age, creating a softened vibrancy.
The piece originates from the Shanxi Province and was brought to New England about 20 years ago by a Waring parent. It stands 79" high by 51" wide and is 24" in depth. With a rare 4 panel design, two hidden drawers, and subtle Chinese artwork, it will make a lovely and unique addition to your home!
The cabinet will be on display at the Waring School Auction on Saturday, April 18. The winning bidder will be responsible for pick up of the item by Friday, April 24.
