Item Description
Light your elegant post-apocalyptic drawing room or turn-of-the-century mad scientist’s laboratory with a one-of-a-kind work of art from Machine Age Lamps, LLC, made in the USA.
Great works of steampunk art—be they novels, movies, comic books, clothing, events, or furniture—have something for everyone. They carefully blend our past with our present and our ideas of the future to tell a story as complex and mysterious as it is beautiful. They imagine an alternative history in which Victorian scientists made incredible breakthroughs without the assistance of electricity, or else they transport us to a post-apocalyptic future in which we must learn to face new obstacles with nothing but steam to power our machines.
Our steampunk lamps epitomize the genre with their unique fusion of salvaged antique industrial parts, Edison light bulbs, and contemporary craftsmanship. Many look as though they have been taken straight from an early American factory, only with modern electrical parts. With a combination of warm steampunk lighting and aged metal, these lamps have the power to transform any environment into the perfect setting for an H. G. Wells novel.
They make fantastic gifts for anyone who loves the history of the industrial revolution or any kind of science fiction, but their beauty and uniqueness make them suitable for just about anyone. Whether you are a devoted member of a steampunk subculture or just a homeowner looking for the perfect statement piece, Machine Age Lamps, LLC, is excited to offer you a variety of gorgeous lamps you cannot find anywhere else.
About the Art
All of our steampunk lighting features are first and foremost one-of-a-kind works of art. They are made from salvaged early American factory parts with their own history and unique aging patterns. They are handmade in Lakeville, Minnesota, signed, and numbered by the artist.
However, our lamps are more than just art. They are fully functional, carefully crafted lighting fixtures that come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our lamps are connected with a heavy-duty 3-wire power system securely fastened to the frame to power one or more 25-watt Edison light bulbs. These bulbs can be purchased individually from our site, so you never have to worry about losing the intended look of the work, no matter how often you use it.
About the Artist
What started as a handcrafted gift to honor the artist’s father’s childhood has grown into a passion for beautiful, unique works of art. Machine Age Lamps, LLC, sells handmade steampunk lamps from salvaged antique steam gauges, agricultural equipment, planes, ships, and other machine age parts. We remain a family-owned and –operated company headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota.
Since our inception, we have worked with hundreds of satisfied clients around the world to create custom works of art for their homes, events, and underground bomb shelters.
All of our products include free shipping within the United States.
