Decorative Old Maps of the Sixteenth, Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries (Six Fine Prints in Full Color 1940) - Publisher: New York City Penn Press circa 1940 

Print portfolio measuring 20" across x 16" tall and all six maps are accounted for. The maps are as follows: The Map of the World by N.J. Visscher who portrayed California as an island (17th c.); Map of Europe by Mercator from the famous Mercator Hondius Atlat of 1633; Map of Asia by the Blaeu Family, 1662; the Holy Land by Abraham Ortelius from the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, the first atlas, 1570; New Belgium, New England and Virginia by N.J. Visscher prior to the founding of Philadelphia; and Map of Canada by Guillaume P'Isle, the foremost French cartographer circa 1720.
