Item Description
You will enjoy 2 tickets to the Livermore Amador Symphony on May 16, 2015 at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. You can also use this certificate for any performances in the 2015-2016 season.
On May 16th celebrated violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn joins us in our season finale to perform Beethoven’s extraordinary violin concerto. Pitcairn plays the legendary 1720 “Red Mendelssohn” Stradivarius (said to have inspired the Academy Award-winning film The Red Violin). Our evening begins with a musical bonbon from a Russian master: Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise from Eugene Onegin. The orchestra shines in the work of a chemist and composer, Alexander Borodin, one of the most influential Russian composers of his time; his Symphony No. 3 is soulful, deeply expressive, and full of melodic charm.
