Item Description
This kimono is crafted from the highest grade rinzu, Japanese silk damask brocade. You can see the intricate woven patterns in background of the silk. This adds to the kimono's value, as rinzu silk is a time-intensive creation. This is a hounmogi style kimono, characterized by a pattern that dances over the shoulders, seams, and sleeves. This style is more formal than an ordinary kimono and is usually worn by unmarried female guests at a wedding ceremony. Lovely soft red with intricate patterns of Japanese flowers like botan, or peonies. A motif of Kiku, the imperial chrysanthemum, and chariots decorates the stunning silk. Incredible bright crimson red silk lining! Whether you wish to wear it or put it on display, this one-of-a-kind kimono is a beautiful addition to any collection. This item is in very good condition. There are a few minor spots, but no snags or tears.
