Item Description
This is a one of a kind item, and we hope it will go to someone who will truly treasure it. Lakhi is a blind elephant who came to our facility wearing this bell. She no longer needs it because she now follows her friend Asha around.
Lakhi, who was rescued by Wildlife SOS in 2015, was mishandled and beaten with an ankush (bull hook) all her life. Sadly, Lakhi has many injuries all over her body. Never allowed rest or given appropriate elephant food, and walking endlessly on tar roads in hot temperatures led to abscesses on her feet and chronic injuries on all four foot pads. Since the day she arrived at the Elephant Conservation and Care Center, our veterinarians have not wasted a moment in treating her wounds and making her feel comfortable and happy in her new home.
