Item Description
Take home a part of history with the Broward County, Florida Voting Machine from the 2000 Election. Standing just over 5’ tall, this little machine was part of a large controversy during the hotly contested 2000 Florida presidential election. The election came down to whomever won the state of Florida, where the vote count was so close, they counted it twice. And then came the complaints about those hanging chads. Voting machines such as this one were at the center of the controversy over election tallies, as it still used the punch card system, an outmoded method of casting ballots in an increasingly digital age. Here is your chance to own a piece of the controversial 2000 election. Also included with the voting machine is the original power cord for lighting the booth and the hanging chads.
Political package also includes:
- Framed and autographed picture of President Barack Obama
- Framed and autographed picture of Michelle Obama
- Framed and autographed picture of Hilary Clinton
- Framed Christmas card from President and Mrs. George Bush, Sr.
